Birth Support

Your due date is getting closer, and whether you're feeling excited, nervous, or a little of both, one thing is certain, you don't have to face it alone.

As your birth doula, I'll be by your side through every stage of your labour and birth, wherever you choose to bring your baby into the world, whether that's at home, in a birth centre, or in hospital. My role is to offer continuous, compassionate birth support that helps you feel safe, confident, and genuinely cared for, every step of the way.

I'll be patiently waiting for your call, day or night, and I promise; I will always pick up.

What does a birth doula actually do?

Birth doula support looks different for every family, because every birth is unique. I'll take my lead from you, your wishes, your birth intentions, and what feels right in the moment.

In practice, that might mean suggesting comfortable birth positions, providing massage and hands-on comfort measures, filling the birthing pool, offering calm encouragement when you need it most, or simply making sure you and your birth partner are nourished and looked after throughout.

I'll also be your voice when you need one, helping you navigate questions and decisions with clarity and confidence, and advocating for your wishes and preferences every step of the way.

And I won't just be supporting you. I'll be there for your birth partner too, helping them feel involved, empowered, and confident in their role by your side, so that this is a positive, memorable experience for your whole family.

Throughout it all, I'll be there to remind you of something important: you can do this. I believe in you completely.

Getting to know you

We'll begin with a minimum of three prenatal sessions (each lasting around two hours), giving us the time and space to get to know one another, explore your birth preferences, and build the trust that makes all the difference when labour begins. You'll also have unlimited phone, text, and email support throughout your pregnancy, for emotional reassurance, practical questions, or simply a listening ear whenever you need one.

Postnatal Support

Your baby is here, and what a moment that is! The postnatal period is a beautiful but sometimes overwhelming time, as you recover from birth and begin finding your rhythm as a new parent. I'm here to help make those early days a little easier,  whether that's sharing helpful resources, lending a listening ear as you process your birth experience, caring for older siblings, tackling some light housework, or simply holding your baby so you can rest or take that well-earned shower.

What my Clients Say

Suzie brasher baby doula birth support
"From the moment I met Suzie, her friendliness, knowledge and experience put me at ease. As a soon-to-be single mother, she was the best decision I made. Her thorough antenatal visits never felt rushed, and when my labour started 3 weeks early, she was there straight away. Despite it not being straightforward, I always felt calm and in control, knowing she could advocate for me. She even captured precious photos of my son's first moments. Her postnatal night support was invaluable for sleep and reassurance. She was a complete godsend, I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again."
