Night Doula

Sleep deprivation can be one of the hardest parts of those early weeks. As your night doula, I'll take care of your baby overnight so you can get the rest you need. Whether you're breastfeeding or bottle feeding, I'll handle the night feeds, nappy changes, settling, and everything in between. I'll also keep detailed notes on your baby's night, feeding times, amounts, nappy changes, and sleep patterns; so you wake up informed as well as rested.

Overnight Newborn Care

Those first weeks with a newborn are beautiful...

Those first weeks with a newborn are beautiful, but they can also be exhausting. Broken sleep, night feeds, and the constant demands of a new baby can leave even the most prepared parents running on empty.

That's where I come in.

As an experienced night doula, I provide professional overnight newborn care in your own home, so you and your partner can get the rest you genuinely need. Whether you're breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or combination feeding, I'll take care of your baby through the night with warmth, expertise, and calm, giving you the confidence that your little one is in safe, caring hands.

Every family is different, so every overnight plan is tailored to your individual needs. A typical booking covers a 10-hour overnight shift, and here's what that usually looks like:

What my clients say

Suzie is a professional, reliable , empathic doula and a great individual. We initially hired her for 6 weeks to help overnight with our newborn son and ended up extending her contract. She is great with a baby, very kind to a mummy and just looks after the wellbeing of the whole family. She’s great with just getting on with light domestic chores too which is of a great help during the postpartum period. I would happily have her for longer as our nanny for life if she lived a bit closer. We miss Suzie a lot!

FAQ'S

What is a Night Doula?

A night doula (also known as an overnight postnatal doula) provides support in your home during the night so you can rest and recover while your baby is cared for.

Will you stay awake all night?

No, I sleep in the same room as your baby and sleep when your baby sleeps

How long do families have a night Doula?

Some families book for just a few weeks, while others continue for several months. It depends on your recovery, feeding choices, and sleep needs.

When should I book night support?

It’s never too early to book me, I get booked up very quickly.  It’s best to book during pregnancy to secure availability, especially for the early weeks. However, you can also reach out after your baby arrives if you need support.

Overnight support is typically between 10-12 hours, often starting around 9–10pm and finishing around 6–7am. Exact times can be tailored to your needs.

How many nights per week can I book?

You can book anything from occasional nights to multiple nights per week, depending on availability and your needs.

Will you help my baby sleeps through the night?

Newborns naturally wake frequently, so the focus is not on “sleep training,” but on:

  • Responding to your baby’s needs

  • Helping you get more rest

  • For older babies, I can gently support age-appropriate sleep habits.
